My biggest dream right now we have to be to visit China. I am a chinese minor and have never been able to afford to study abroad. Of course there are always other things that people want in life such as a house, car, child, ect. However for me being in love with our global world, my dream is to visit China.

Week 9-Art Project

So we have a Art project coming up next week and I have been thinking of some ideas. I wanted to do an application that is on my computer such as paint and make a drawing or craft with it. I want it to have some sort of meaning and so I wanted to do the view from my families beach house. It will be of twin rocks which is near Tillamook.

This has been a rough week, with graduation around this corner and 21 credits this term…I am not the best at understanding this class or these assignments, but I keep trying. I thought I would get it by now. However, here we are in week 8 and I am getting more and more frustrated with this.

Well this week we did a peer review and are still doing our culture site project. I think so far I am enjoying the discussion reading the most.

I e-mailed Jane Nichols and asked to see if she knew of other resources to where I could find more personal information on Sarah Boone. I was told of some other resources that are known for having correct information that I could use to get some background. I intend to look at those books and websites to research Sarah Boone and try and understand where she came from and why she felt the need to invent the Ironing board.

I choose Sarah Boone. She was a African American women who invented the Ironing Board on April 26, 1892. It was originally made to iron sleeves and ladies garments. If I were to interview her, I would just want to know if anything happened to her to want to make something for “ironing” and how did she even think of “ironing”?
